We use industry-standard software and methodologies to scan, test and identify security vulnerabilities. We first scan for open ports, and for each open port, we identify the service and software for that port, and report any security vulnerabilities.
7. How safe are these security scans for my network?
WebSafe Shield has taken great care to identify the best methods and tests in order to provide a safe and non-disruptive security scan.
8. How do I install the code for your seal?
Simply log into your account, select the seal of your choice, and copy and paste the corresponding code onto the web pages where you would like the seal displayed. Until your site passes its first security check, the seal will not display.
9. Can you help me fix my security vulnerabilities?
We will provide you information on each vulnerability as well as potential ways of addressing each one. The choices can vary, but they can involve upgrading a system, removing an unused application, or further strengthening the access controls to a system. You have the choice on how to resolve the vulnerability. We will continue our daily security vulnerability assessments and notify you when you have passed the assessment.
